Sam Hodges is originally from Marissa, IL where he graduated from Marissa High School. He went on to continue his education at McKendree University, earning his Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training in May of 2012. Sam became a certified Athletic Trainer in December of 2012 and joined the Wabash General Hospital Sports Medicine team in August of 2013 covering Mount Carmel High School and assisting with Wabash Valley College. Sam enjoys watching pretty much any sport in his free time and is a huge Cardinals, Blues, and Packers fan. He enjoys playing baseball and golf. He is also a former Cardinals season ticket holder, and owns a share of Packers stock.
Cassie Kohlhause, ATC, LAT originates from Mount Carmel, IL. She attended and graduated from Mount Carmel High School. In 2009 she earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Union University in Jackson, TN. She joined the Wabash General Hospital Sports Medicine Team in 2015. Her athletic training experience spans from high school, NAIA, Division I, and clinical settings. During her down time, Cassie enjoys watching football, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
AJ Ola, ATC, LAT is working as a certified athletic trainer for Wabash General Hospital. AJ is originally from Sparta, IL where he graduated high school. After graduating he went to Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL to play football. He then transferred to McKendree University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. AJ joined the Wabash General Hospital Sports Medicine Team in 2014 and is taking over responsibility for Carmi White County schools. In his free time, AJ enjoys golfing, softball, sand volleyball, and playing fantasy football. He also loves to watch football and hockey, especially the Bears and Blackhawks.
Kelly Schweisthal, ATC, LAT is originally from Orlando, Florida. She moved to Kentucky with her family during middle school where she graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School. As an avid sports fan she was a cheerleader from the age of eight through high school; with additional years on a competitive traveling team. She was also involved in soccer, swimming, and track. She continued her education at Owensboro Community & Technical College and Cumberland University graduating with her Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training. She became a certified Athletic Trainer in February 2018. She joined the Wabash General Hospital Sports Medicine Team in August 2018 covering Red Hill High School Athletics. In her spare time she enjoys listening to a variety of music genres, spending time with family and going on adventurous road trips with her friends. She looks forward to many years of providing quality care and service to her athletes and her community.
Rachel Stephens and her husband, Brandon, reside in Albion, IL. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Rachel is certified with the Board of Certification (BOC), licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). She joined Wabash General Hospital in 2012 and works under the direction of the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Department and is stationed at Edwards County High School. Her athletic training experience spans from high school, Division III athletics, industrial, and semi-professional sports settings. During any down time, Rachel enjoys crocheting, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
Sarah Turner, ATC, LAT originates from Berryville, IL. She attended and graduated from East Richland High School in Olney, IL. She continued her education at Olney Central College and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale graduating with her Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. She became a certified Athletic Trainer in April 2012. She joined the Wabash General Hospital Sports Medicine Team in 2012 covering Fairfield Community High School Athletics. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys watching and attending college basketball games.
