Information Desk
You may have questions upon arrival at Wabash General Hospital. Experienced
and knowledgeable staff members at the Information Desk can help you find
a patient room number and directions to that room. You can find the Information
Desk inside the main entrance of the hospital.
The Information Desk is staffed Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and
6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Patient Rooms
We strive to make our rooms as home-like as possible by including comfortable
chairs, a television, phone and other conveniences. Most inpatient rooms
are private; however, some remain semi-private (two patients per room).
We do our best to limit use of the semi-private rooms, but it is necessary
on occasion.
Visitor Overnight Stays
A family member or support person may spend the night in a patient room
with the nurse’s permission. If you plan to sleep in the patient’s
room, please ask the nurse for a pillow and blanket. Do not bring your
own from home. This helps maintain a sanitary environment.
Room Service
Our Food and Nutritional Services Department is committed to offering you
a variety of tasty and medically appropriate meal choices. Dietary staff
will visit your room daily to discuss meal options and any restrictions
put in place by your provider – such as low salt or low sugar.
Families and Guests
Patients are prescribed a diet by their physician according to their illness/condition.
Please do not bring food to the patient unless their doctor has given
permission.
