Meds to Beds Program
Patients often need to start or continue taking medications at home after an inpatient hospital stay. Understanding medications can be overwhelming or confusing, so Wabash General Hospital developed the Meds to Beds Program in partnership with Sheldon's Pharmacy to make the transition to home easier for patients.
The Meds to Beds Program allows Sheldon's Pharmacy to work with inpatients at Wabash General Hospital before they leave the hospital. Before your discharge Monday through Friday, your prescriptions will be delivered straight to your hospital bed. You will also have the opportunity to consult with one of Sheldon's knowledgeable pharmacists to ask questions and get clarification about your medications.
Program Benefits Include:
- Prescriptions are delivered to patient's bedside before being discharged so there is no additional stop at the pharmacy.
- Pharmacist provides private, personalized discharge counseling.
- Pharmacy can communicate with provider on alternative therapies that may be covered under insurance while the patient is still in the hospital.
- Patients are able to focus on recovery.
*Patients need to have their prescription coverage card available at the hospital.
